About Me

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I went to college at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington where I studied and earned my BA in American literature. From Spokane I moved with my wife to San Francisco. I attended San Francisco Theological seminary where I earned my Masters of Divinity. Life then led me to Denver where I have worked as a pastor in a local church for thirty-nine years. I went to McCormick theological seminary where I earned my Doctorate of Ministry.

While I am a Christian pastor I’ve studied all the worlds religions and have taught classes and seminars educating people about the deep connections between them. I consider myself religious and spiritual. My faith does not determine my style of coaching. It is a resource that empowers how I work with people to find their own sense of spirituality. You don’t have to be a Christian to work with me. I encourage people of all faiths, or no faith, to find their life purpose.

I’m passionate about my wife, children, and grandchildren. My hobbies are horses, dogs, mountain biking, hiking, running and doing all things fitness.

I believe in life long learning. My academic curiosity leads me to constantly expand my areas of skills and abilities. I’m never finished growing. My iPad is full of books waiting to be read and I have a long list of audible books to listen to.

My accreditation as a life coach came from the Integrative Wellness Academy. The foundations of IWA is to develop four key areas of life - mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Through balance in these four key areas an understanding of purpose and life goals develop. The IWA certification built upon my passions of physical fitness, mental acuity, emotional well-being, and spirituality.
